SPECIAL MEMBER
Intermediate Affiliation within the World Ju-Jitsu Corporation
The Special Member level represents an advanced form of affiliation within the World Ju-Jitsu Corporation.
It is intended for practitioners who maintain an active and continuous involvement in training, events and recognized activities of the WJJC, and who wish to formalize a deeper institutional connection beyond the Friend Member level.
Special Membership is not a rank and does not confer teaching authority.
It represents an operational and participatory position within the WJJC structure.
WHO THIS LEVEL IS FOR
The Special Member level is addressed to:
- active martial arts practitioners
- individuals regularly involved in WJJC seminars, events or competitions
- members seeking a structured and recognized participation in the Corporation’s activities
- practitioners aligned with the ethical framework and standards of Kishidō.
This level presupposes continuity of practice and active participation.
ROLE WITHIN THE WJJC
Special Members:
- are officially registered within the WJJC international structure as active members
- may participate in seminars reserved for affiliated members
- may take part in official WJJC competitions and demonstrations, where applicable
- contribute to the visibility and integrity of the organization through conduct and commitment.
This level does not grant grading authority, teaching rights or institutional representation roles.
OFFICIAL RECOGNITION
Special Member affiliation includes:
- formal registration in the WJJC Special Members directory
- an official Special Member certificate
- distinctive identification elements issued by the World Ju-Jitsu Corporation
- an institutional welcome communication issued by the WJJC.
All materials are issued as signs of recognition and affiliation.
POSITION WITHIN THE AFFILIATION SYSTEM
The Special Member level represents a stable intermediate position within the WJJC affiliation framework.
Some members choose to remain at this level as their long-term form of participation.
Others may, over time, request access to higher institutional levels, subject to evaluation, responsibility and alignment with WJJC standards.
Progression is never automatic.
A RESPONSIBLE COMMITMENT
Affiliating as a Special Member means accepting a higher level of responsibility toward:
- personal conduct within the martial community
- respect for WJJC standards and Kishidō principles
- continuity, seriousness and institutional coherence.
