STANDARDS & CERTIFICATION

Structure, responsibility and martial integrity within the WJJC

Within the World Ju-Jitsu Corporation, standards and certification exist to provide structure, clarity and consistency to the practice and transmission of the Kishidō System.
They are not formalities, but essential tools designed to protect quality, integrity and responsibility across the international network.

THE ROLE OF STANDARDS

Standards define a shared reference framework.
They ensure that technique, methodology and progression are understood and applied consistently, regardless of country, background or individual interpretation.
Within the WJJC, standards serve to:

  • preserve technical coherence

  • support disciplined and controlled evolution

  • protect the identity and integrity of the system

CERTIFICATION AS RECOGNITION

Certification within the WJJC represents formal recognition of competence and alignment.
It confirms that instructors and schools operate according to shared principles, standards and ethical guidelines.

PRESTIGE AND INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION

Certification within the WJJC is regarded as a mark of prestige within its international circuit.
It reflects not only technical competence, but also commitment to discipline, responsibility and alignment with the values of the organization.
WJJC certifications are internationally recognized within the WJJC network, providing a clear and respected reference across countries and professional contexts.

RESPONSIBILITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY

Being certified within the WJJC implies responsibility.
Certification is not a title to possess, but a role to uphold through conduct, teaching quality and respect for the system.

SUPERVISION AND MARTIAL GUARANTEE

All certifications are issued under institutional supervision and are formally validated by the Sōke, who acts as the martial guarantor of the system.
This role ensures continuity, integrity and adherence to the foundational principles of the Kishidō System

CONTINUITY AND TRUST

Through standards and certification, the WJJC builds trust and continuity over time.
They allow the system to grow internationally without losing coherence, discipline or credibility.

STANDARDS AS A FOUNDATION, NOT A LIMIT

Standards within the WJJC are not intended to limit personal expression.
They provide a stable foundation upon which instructors and schools can grow, teach and evolve with clarity and confidence.

THE ROLE OF THE WJJC

The World Ju-Jitsu Corporation defines, maintains and regularly reviews standards and certification criteria.
This institutional oversight ensures consistency, fairness and alignment across the international structure.
