THE FOUNDER AND TECHNICAL ORIGIN

Institutional origin, technical lineage and founding vision

The World Ju-Jitsu Corporation (WJJC) originates from a defined technical and institutional vision developed by its Founder, Adriano Busà, Shodai Sōke, 9th Dan.
The presence of a Founder within the WJJC does not imply personal authority or centralized power.
It defines the point of origin of a structured system designed to ensure coherence, responsibility and long-term continuity.

FOUNDING VISION

The WJJC was founded to move beyond informal transmission, fragmented interpretations and individual claims of authority that often characterize unstructured martial organizations.

The founding vision was to establish:

  • a coherent technical system,

  • defined standards of evaluation and certification,

  • institutional governance,

  • an international framework capable of preserving continuity beyond individuals.

This vision led to the formal codification of Kishidō (騎士道) — The Way of the Knight — as a modern Ju-Jitsu system rooted in classical Budō principles, ethical responsibility and practical effectiveness.

TECHNICAL LINEAGE AND EXPERIENCE

The technical background of the Founder developed through decades of continuous practice, study and responsibility within martial arts and professional self-defense environments.

His experience includes traditional martial disciplines, Ju-Jitsu specialization and the development of structured programs for professional and institutional contexts.

These experiences did not result in a personal style, but in the creation of a verifiable, teachable and institutional system, capable of being transmitted through defined standards and oversight.

THE ROLE OF THE SŌKE

Within the WJJC, the title of Sōke is neither honorary nor symbolic.

It defines:

  • the original technical source of the system

  • responsibility for preserving methodological integrity

  • the safeguarding of the Kishidō framework within the institutional structure.

The role of the Sōke is inseparable from responsibility, accountability and continuity.

FROM FOUNDER TO INSTITUTION

While the WJJC originates from a defined founder, it is intentionally structured to ensure continuity beyond the individual.
Governance systems, certification standards and institutional representation ensure that authority is exercised through structure rather than personal influence.
The Founder represents the origin of the system, not its center.

INSTITUTIONAL CONTINUITY

Today, the World Ju-Jitsu Corporation operates as an international institutional framework guided by shared standards, responsibility and long-term vision.
The founding vision remains the reference point for the technical integrity, organizational coherence and continuity of the WJJC.
